Mt. Kailash, at 6714 m also known as Tise, Kailasa & Kang Rinpoche(Jewel of the Snows), has since time immemorial been celebrated in many Eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis mundi. And as the center of the physical & metaphysical universe, Mt. Meru is sacred to the Buddhist, Jains, the Hindus & the Bonpos. For the Hindus, the mountain represents the seat of Lord Shiva; for the Buddhists, a terrestrial projection of the cosmic mandala of Dhyani-Buddhas & Boddhisatva.The Wheel of Life; for the Bonpos, Kailash was the sacred nine storey Swastika Mountain, upon which the Bonpo founder Sherab alighted from heaven. Four of the great rivers of the Indian subcontinent originates from here: the Karnali, which feeds into the Ganges (south); the Indus (north); the Sutlez (west) & the Brahmaputra (Yarlung Tsangpo, east).

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu (1300m)- Zhangmu (2300m) Nyalam (3750m) 6-7 hrs. Overnight at hotel
Day 02: Rest for Acclimatization
Day 03: Drive Zhangmu/Nyalam-Paiko Tso (4350m)-6-7 hrs.
Day 04: Paiko Tso Zhongba (4700m). 6 -7 hrs.
Day 05: Drive Zhongba-Mayum La (5200m). 6-7 hrs.
Day 06: Drive Mayum La Lake Manasarovar (4550m). 4-5 hrs.
Day 07: Explore Lake Manasarovar- Drive to Darchen (4560m).
Day 08: Start trek around Mt. Kailash from Darchen overnight at Dirphuk (4890m). 6-7hrs.
Day 09: Continue trek from Dirphuk to Zutul Puk (4790m). 6-7hrs.
Day 10: End trek at Darchen. 5-6hrs.
Day 11: Drive Darchen to Tirthapuri. (4300m). 3-4 hrs. Camp. Where one
can enjoy hot water spring and have a special relaxation.
Day 12: Drive Tirthapuri-Nyogze (4350m). 6-7 hrs.
Day 13: Drive Nyogze Paryang (4450m). 5-6 hrs.
Day 14: Drive Paryang-Saga (4400m) 6-7 hrs.
Day 15: Drive Saga-Upper Nyalam (3750m). 7-8 hrs.
Day 16: Drive Nyalam -Shigatse. Check in into hotel for overnight.
Day 17: Early morning sightseeing tour to Tashilumpo Monastery at
Shigatse and drive to Gyantse. Check in into Hotel at
Gyantse for overnight. Afternoon sightseeing tour to Kumbum
Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery at Gyatnse.
Day 18: Drive Gyantse to Lhasa via Yamadrok Lake and check in into
Hotel for overnight.
Day 19-20: Two full day sightseeing tour to Potala Palace, Barkhor
Bazaar, Jokhang Tempel, Sera and Drepung Monasteries.
Day 21: Early morning Transfer to airport to catch a flight back to
Kathmandu. Pick up from airport and transfer to Hotel in
Kathmandu.
